Нина Алексеевна Семилетникова родилась в Москве 19 апреля 1927 г. в семье рабочих Гаева Алексея Федоровича и Семилетниковой Евдокии Федоровны. Как и многие, она даже и предположить не могла, что всю свою жизнь посвятит искусству танца и педагогической деятельности.
С детства маленькая Нина занималась танцами в хореографическом коллективе Дворца пионеров им. Сталина, откуда в 1939 г. была направлена своим педагогом на просмотр в хореографическое училище при Государственном Академическом Большом театре Оперы и Балета, и вскоре стала его учащейся.
Великая Отечественная война внесла свои коррективы в обучение классическому танцу. С 1941 по 1943 гг. Нина Семилетникова находилась в городке Васильсурск, в 150 км от г. Горького (ныне Нижний Новгород), куда было эвакуировано хореографическое училище, большой и драматический театры.
В военное время г. Горький стал одним из центров культурной жизни СССР.Три года в эвакуации Нина Алексеевна была медсестрой в летной части, состоящей из пяти сотен человек. Училище жило на первых этажах общежития, а летчики занимали верхние этажи. На территории части находился большой зал, где каждый день эвакуированные артисты и ученики занимались балетом под руководством Софьи Николаевны Головкиной, Ольги Васильевны Лепешинской и других педагогов.
«Работы было много, выезжали на фронт, выступали в театрах, и маленькие девочки 11-12 лет несли на себе и знали весь классический репертуар: «Лебединое озеро», «Дон Кихот», «Сильфида»… Иногда мы падали в обморок: не хватало сил и питания, а Софья Николаевна подбадривала: «Вы будущие артисты, вы должны быть выносливыми».
«Танцевальные платья «шили» практически из бинтов и окрашивали самостоятельно,- вспоминает Нина Алексеевна, — балет меняет характер. Можно прийти размазней и стать кремнем. Спокойные артисты – это кордебалет. А другая рвет, мечет, трудоспособная, требует сдвигов в хореографии».
Закончилась война – закончилось и обучение танцу. Директор и художественный руководитель Московского хореографического училища, Ростислав Захаров, направляет юную балерину Семилетникову в Государственный ордена Ленина Академический Большой театр оперы и балета БССР на должность артистки балета и по совместительству педагогом в хореографическое училище г. Минска.
«Меня отправляли делать кадры.Своих кадров в Белоруссиибыло мало. Репертуар театра в основном составляли концертные номера, классики как таковой не было. Всю молодежь приходилось учить, ставить на пальцы. Жила я в одной из гримерных комнат театра», — вспоминает Нина Алексеевна.
Успех не заставил себя ждать.В 1946 г. за участие в смотре творческой молодежи Белоруссии Нина Алексеевна была награждена Дипломом I степени и почетной грамотой ЦК ЛКСМБ (Ленинский коммунистический союз молодежи Белоруссии). Дебютной партией и визитной карточкой балерины стала роль Одиллии в «Лебедином озере». Позже репертуар артистки составили ведущие партии в балетах «Дон Кихот», «Лауренсия», «Корсар», «Пламя Парижа» и др.
«Своим упорным трудом тов. Семилетникова достигла больших успехов и была выдвинута в ряды первых солисток…», «…в спектаклях танцует ведущие партии, как например Одиллию в балете «Лебединое озеро», вакханку в «Вальпургиевой ночи» оперы «Фауст»,«…обладает хорошими сценическими данными, много танцует в военно-шефских концертах, принимает активное участие в общественной жизни театра», «…свою творческую деятельность сочетает с большой общественной работой, на протяжение ряда лет избирается секретарем и членом ЛКСМБ, является комсоргом балетного цеха», – писали о балерине критики.
На вопрос о том, каким хореографам посчастливилось поработать с артисткой Семилетниковой, Нина Алексеевна с улыбкой отвечает:
«Это мне, как молодому кадру, посчастливилось поработать с Вахтангом Чабукиани, который был удивлен, как была подготовлена и поставлена наша школа. Хореография его «Лауренсии» требовала очень много позировки, он придерживался своего национального стиля, а на классику нажимал мало.
С Ростиславом Захаровым ставили «Золушку», очень хорошо она у нас шла. Касьян Голейзовский привозил свои миниатюры. Много было критики, много спорили Муллер и Дречин, иногда чуть ли не до драки доходило.
К нам, в Минское хореографическое училище, часто приезжала и Агриппина Ваганова, спрашивала: «Нина, что-то новое покажешь или «из спичек» будем делать, искать движения?» Из спичек – это значит прямое положение, прямые ноги, никуда их не сворачивать, ничего не делать. Мы, вместе с Агриппиной Яковлевной, сидя на полу, пили чай, и Ваганова всегда себе подушечку подстилала, чтобы копчик не застудить».
«Я дружила с Ольгой Васильевной Лепешинской, она часто приглашала меня на различные приемы. И вот, на одном из вечеров в Тбилиси подходит ко мне грузин и спрашивает: «Нравится балет?», «Не всё, — ответила я, — много серости, нет настоящей классики». «Да, я тоже им сказал, классики у вас нет, надо в Москву или Ленинград съездить поучиться». Откуда я могла знать, что это Сталин?!»
«А с Петром Мироновичем Машеровым мы ездили по деревням, собирали самодеятельные коллективы, много работы было сделано, поднимали и тракторный, и автозавод».
«Сейчас для подготовки будущих артистов все чаще используются силовые, физические методы развития данных, много новизны из гимнастики, много вращений, — рассуждает Нина Алексеевна, —Все это нужно, балерина должна уметь все.Но есть и перегибы. Нужно смотреть, что артистке подходит, что ей идет. Нужно, чтобы балерина танцевала, чтобы было нутро.У современных танцовщиц танца почти нет, а только школьные выученные движения. Танцевать – это природное ощущение, как красиво сделать».
Балерина не только выступала на сцене театра и преподавала в хореографическом училище, но и взяла на себя роль постановщика и хореографа. С помощью Нины Алексеевны был восстановлен ряд партий в балете «Золушка»,операх «В бурю» и «Джордано Бруно».
В 1950х годахза заслуги в развитии советского музыкально-театрального искусства Семилетникова была награждена Грамотой Верховного Совета Белорусской ССР, а позже Медалью «За трудовое отличие».
В 1969 г. балерина ушла из театра, но продолжила преподавать в хореографическом училище и Республиканском Доме художественной самодеятельности г. Минска, а в 1973 г. вновь вернулась на сцену родного театра в качестве артистки миманса и проработала вплоть до 1989 г.
В 1990-е и 2000-е гг. Нина Алексеевна продолжала преподавать, давала индивидуальные уроки будущим и действующим артисткам балета.
